Barnado's Challenge Pictures and Information.

Our Beaver Group along with every group in Merseyside have taken part in this challenge for Barnado's.
Below is a brief outline of what we had to do for this challenge -
Section 1
Hold a joint fundraising event.
Make and Sell Something
Get a photo of a beaver in the paper.
Obtain an autographed item and auction it.
Hold a Raffle.
Section 2
Beaver Scouts Learn About Themselves
Experience what it would be like to lose one of our senses.
Practice a skill you previously found difficult.
Hold a paper plate competition that depicts the story of "The Jungle Book"
Section 3
Beaver Scouts Explore
Collect Items for recycling.
Find out about an animal that is not native you this country.
Taste and try four foreign foods.
Section 4
Beaver Scouts get to know people
Collect Items for a worthy cause.
Fundraise for another charity.
Create a frieze which depicts another country.
Section 5
Beaver Scouts Care
Visit a local place of worship and find out as much information as you can about it.
All beavers to take part in an act of worship.
Do a good turn for a neighboring colony.
Select 5 items to be placed in a time capsule and buried in May 2000 at Tawd Vale Campsite. All beavers taking part are invited to attend Tawd Vale on May 20th 2000 when the count commissioner, a Barnado Representative and other guests will judge the best time capsule to be buried. Prizes will also be presented.
Items should illustrate what beaver scouting is all about in the year 2000.
The time capsule will be buried until 20th May 2050.
The Capsule measures 40cm x 7cm x 6cm and will not decay.
The capsule must contain :

Handcraft
Pictures
