St. Georges Day Parade
UNFORTUNATLEY I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET HOLD OF ANY INFORMATION FOR THE 2001 SERVICE! THE BASIC SERVICE WAS THE SAME AS BELOW BUT IF ANYONE HAS ANY PICTURES PLEASE LET ME HAVE THEM!
The annual St. Georges day parade took place in St. Helens on the 16th April 2000. Our group along with every other group in St. Helens paraded round the town center and then took part in a church service at St. Helens Parish Church. All scouts and ex scouts were welcome to attend, the parade left Birchley street car park at 2:30PM and the service started at 3:00PM. Councillor Pat Jackson Mayor of St. Helens attended the service and observed the parade passing the town hall as Mike Harrison took the salute. Below is a picture of the parade passing the Town Hall.
