Friday 7:00PM - 9:00PM

At Newton-Le-Willows scouts we have 5 patrols and 24 scouts.  Some scouts have filled in an information sheet telling us about themselves.  From this a description has been compiled below.

Scout Hall of Fame

Matthew Swann

Matthew is age 13 and enjoys watching TV and as stated by himself when asked about his hobbies replied girls!!  Within Scouting he enjoys camping and has taken part in the gang show for the last 3 years.  Matthew once a darling little cub now annoys his mum and dad with his constant rap music.  he attends Newton-le-willows community high school and is currently in year 8.  he enjoys drama and especially acting like a tiger.  He considers himself to be a bit of a tiger but in real life is the APL of beaver patrol and has a pet cat.

 

Chris Smith

Chris, 15 is SPL and PL of Stag.  In his spare time he enjoys Rugby and Stock Car Racing.  Chris enjoys getting muddy as his favourite part of Scouting is Camping.  Again he has appeared in the gang show for the last 3 years but prefers rock music to 'Crest of a Wave'.  He attends St. Aeldreds and is in year 10.  His favourite subject is pottery where he made a model of his pet dog but we all think it looks more like a Tiger which he thinks he is!!!

 

Andrew Trickett

Andrew, 14 enjoys playing Rugby but is also excellent with the keyboard.  Unfortunately when he goes camping which he enjoys, he can't take his keyboard with him.  Once a Cub, Andrew has grown up to enjoy Pop music.  He attends Lowton High School and is in year 9.  He enjoys English and writing about his pet Dog.  When he gets the opportunity he spends a lot of time with his pet so this is probably why he considers himself to be a bit of a dog.  Andrew is SPL and PL of Panther.

 

Dannii Melia

Dannii, 14 spends her spare time drinking with boys but not at camp which she enjoys a lot.  When she was in the gang show this year she says she would have rather being dancing to her favourite kind of music rock, RNB and dance.  Dannii attends Newton High School and is in year 9 but hates school.  Dannii has 2 cats and a dog but considers her a bit of a Black Widdow!!!!  At scouts she is in Panther Patrol but and I quote

"Ste aint decided what position I am yet"

Don't Blame me blame Dannii.

 

Sarah St Pier (Scully)

Sarah, 13years, 9 months outside of scouts enjoys THE X FILES but is not on another planet when camping.  Although not a Cub or Scout she was once many years ago a sweet and innocent Brownie and the a Guide.  I bet when she was in Brownies and Guides she didn't like Drum 'n' Base, Rock and anything you can't sing to for Music.  Sarah attends Bolton School Girls Division and is in year 9.  Her favourite subjects are Maths, Drama and Science and through her biology studies states

"I don't know what animal I am like I am more like a marshmallow"

She has a pet Chinchilla and is in Panther patrol.

 

Katie Wilson

Katie, 12 enjoys Music and Swimming.  She doesn't stay too clean though when Camping  Katie enjoys listening to Pop music and is in year 7 at Newton High.  She enjoys Dance and has 2 pet dogs.  She considers herself soft and cuddly like a Koala Bear and is in Stag Patrol.

 

Graham Eccleston

Graham, 12 enjoys Bike Riding and within scouts likes playing games.  He appeared in the gang show in 98 and 99 and was once a Cub.  His favourite kind of music is Pop and is in year 7 at Newton High.  His favourite school subject is Science and is the APL of Stag but at heart considers himself a bit of a dog.

 

 Lee Speakman

Lee, 14 describes himself as a recluse and apparently also enjoys leaving scouts at 9:00PM.  He has never being in the gang show but was once an innocent little cub (you wouldn't believe it if you saw him now)  By his own admission he enjoys Indie music and every School subject (much!)  He attends Newton High and is in year 10.  Lee is PL of Tiger and compares himself to a Salamander (STRANGE!).

 

Michael Singleton

Michael, 13 enjoys Football and Basketball outside scouts.  His favourite part of scouts is camping and listens to any kind of music.  Michael attends Newton High and is in year 9.  He enjoys Art and drawing his pet rabbit also once he drew himself as a panther which he thinks he is like.  Michael is in Tiger patrol.

 

Craig Shukie

Craig, 10 is the first person to go through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in Newton-Le-Willows.  At scouts he enjoys games but outside scouts enjoys Ju-Jitsu, football and Rugby.  He enjoys listening to Pop music and perhaps he will have it at his leavers BBQ when he leaves Wargrave C of E Primary School where he is in year 6.  At school he enjoys Art and sometimes draws his Pet hamster but comparers himself to an elephant. Craig is not yet invested and currently not in any patrol.
